June 2010 Plein Air Painters of Lane County Calendar
June 2, Wed.
More springtime views. East on 30th past LCC over I5. Left on access road. Right on 99 under RR then left on Seavey Loop Road all the way to Mt. Pisgah Arboretum. Water, restrooms, great views along the river, cover in the open air barn. Should be great this time of year.
June 4 and 5, Fri & Sat
Aragon Alpacas - Fantastic views, barns, out buildings, pond, fields, trees and, of course, the amazing Alpacas, if they will stand still long enough to paint them! Here is a link to their website and directions from I5: www.AragonAlpacas.com
Or from Eugene, E.Amazon to Dillard Rd., go up about 4miles, as you start down the hill, you will see red barns on the Left, that is it, there is a wooden 'Aragon Alpacas' sign, turn in and park on the grass.

Morse Ranch - I went to check this location out and there are nice views, trees etc..shelter and picnic tables. Direction and more info at: http://www.eugene-or.gov/

Kirk Park Wetlands - North on 99 past Beltline, left on Clear Lake Road, 6 miles on the right while Fern Ridge Dam is on the left. Port-a-potty but no drinking water. Good wetland views. There is no cover, so hopefully it will not be raining one of these days.

Full bloom of Spring at Hendricks Park. South on Walnut St. from Franklin. Left on Summit. We will be at the shelter in case of rain, in the Rhody garden if the weather is nice.

Dexter State Park
"Dexter State Recreation Site, on the western edge of Dexter Reservoir, not only has a large parking area and convenient access to the reservoir, but you can reach nearby Elijah Bristow State Park through a system of connecting trails." This site has plenty of parking, no drinking water, great views to paint. For further info and directions:

Owosso Bike Bridge
No water or restrooms, but nice bridge and great Willamette River views. Access from Owosso Dr. off River Road (right before Beltline) or from Riverwalk Loop off Goodpasture Loop on the other side of the river. Park on the street and walk a little ways down bike path to either side of bike bridge.

Wetlands at the end of Royal. This is a spectacular wetland area, great views and endless places to paint. West 11th to Greenhill, go Right. Down to Royal (at a stop sign) go Left, all the way down. Royal ends at the parking lot and has a restroom. No cover, bring your Plein Air umbrellas.

Owen Rose Garden
Owen Rose Garden, should be beautiful as Spring progresses. North on Jefferson past 1st St., it ends in the garden parking lot.
