Owens Rose Garden's Cherry Tree is at least 160 years old. We Painted there Wednesday March 5, 2005 and Friday March 7, 2005. I did not make it Saturday March 8, but Eugene was sunny on Wednesday and cloudy on Friday and then sunny again Saturday. Here is Bets starting her painting of the Cherry Tree.
Mary came by to visit on Wednesday.
Nancy is starting on a full sheet watercolor.
Paul arrived afternoon Wednesday.
Here is Paul's watercolor of the cherry tree. The yellow slicker under the tree is me, Brooks. Nice job Paul. It got so warm I had to leave early. I was wearing too many layers.
Friday, cloudy, here is my painting with the real cherry tree in the background.
Victoria and her watercolor on Friday.
Cathy painted three cherry trees starting with this sumi stick ink drawing. Wonderful flowing shapes.
Dorothy and Cathy both just getting started.
Dorothy and Marilyn with her painting. Marilyn was painting flowers over near the parking lot.
Dorothy with her cherry tree watercolor. More wonderful shapes.
We had a critique about 3pm. Here are the paintings from Friday, March 7, 2008. It is easy with such an interesting subject.
